Hello, my name is Chuck and I am from a small town in California.

I became interested in working with metal after nearly thirty years in residential and light commercial construction.  Man's ability to alter his environment in a pleasing manner through the arts is what makes him a truly spiritual being. I enjoy using found objects, recycled and/or salvaged steel to create unique pieces.  Usually at the beginning of a piece I won't have a concept of what the end result may be. Sometimes  I may have more than one or two items in progress at the same time and  ideas play off of themselves causing unexpected results. Other times I may  leave a piece alone for a period of time (hours or days) and at an odd moment have a very clear insight into what the next step or final result will be.
